PHC Photography Information:

Here at PHC we do two basic kinds of photography. We do self assignments which sometimes become available as fine art prints or stock photos and we do photography to support our customers projects. Sometimes these projects are photographs to be displayed and sometimes they are web and/or print designs that require photographic assets. A very typical example would be a small business brochure, catalog or website, which incorporates photographs of the establishment, products, process and employees. Please see the gallery for some more samples of our work.

Technically speaking:
We can shoot 35mm digital or film as well as 4x5 film depending on the requirements of the project. We have a good selection of equipment including lenses from 10mm to 300mm, including macro lenses. Our lignting equipment consist of dedicated, on camera flash units, fiber optic light guides and our Hensel Integra Pro Plus lighting system with various accessories.

For printing photographs there has never before been so many options. The traditional silver printing process has continued to evolve and is better now than ever. In addition we now have ink jet type printers that can produce prints which look practically identical to silver prints. Some of these printers offer the capability to print on alternative materials such as velum, canvas and many varieties of paper. These newer machines utilize dyes, pigments and inks that have tremendous stability over extremely long periods of time and some are even waterproof.

Depending on the requirements of the job we can print here in the office on our HP Photosmart Pro B9180 Photo Printer or we can utilize outside labs around the local area. With digital files, ftp, UPS and Fed Ex the "local area" has grown to become the continental U.S. and therefore we have access to labs that use the finest materials and million dollar printing machines, with no delays.

Our intention is always to do everything the best way we know how, staying within time and budget constraints of the project.
